OFF THE WALL: 200 ARTISTS FOR 200 BUCKS AT THE DEFOOR CENTRE GALLERY

BRING BEN, BRING A CHECK, OR THAT LITTLE PLASTIC CARD THAT YOU HATE! On Saturday, November 15th The Defoor Centre will be the place to be for getting the newest art-off the wall. This will be the coolest collection of 200 artists that will be putting their work on sale for 200 bucks! A chance to get the best holiday present that no one else will receive. The opening/ending gallery will be on Saturday November 15 between 7:30 – 9:30PM Many local artists: painters, sculptors, jewelers will be digging through their studios to display their work at prices that are unheard of. Local artist, Jill Kettles, who brought the idea to the gallery last year says, “I was a part of something fun, met with new artists, saw old ones and art lovers ran away with a great deal.” The gallery is currently inviting artists to commit to the night, and will release the names once the spaces are filled. “We are looking for a diverse group that showcases the range of the city’s art scene.” The Defoor Centre is excited about the show’s second running and hopes that it will continue to bring focus on the large gallery building. The Defoor Gallery is located on Defoor Avenue just off Howell Mill Rd. in the newly refurbished neighborhood. A lot of interior decorators work in the area and there are a lot fabric, furniture and lighting vendors that are located nearby as well.
